CNHP Paraguay

Program Overview

Drexel On-Line Nursing offers an entry-level Global Nursing opportunity in collaboration with OutreachPARAGUAY. OutreachPARAGUAY is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to engage participants in varied and meaningful outreach to the people of Paraguay while simultaneously providing all participants with an enriching cross-cultural experience and to assist in the development of mutual respect and friendship between the people of Paraguay and the United States.

The Goals of the Drexel Global Nursing Experience are:

  • Expose students to a different culture, customs, and traditions
  • Challenge students to explore and broaden their understanding of Cultural Sensitivity, Cultural Humility, and Global Citizenship
  • Provide students with an opportunity to observe the Public Healthcare System in Paraguay at the regional and local level
  • Provide students with an opportunity to identify and discuss health determinants in resource-poor communities in Paraguay
  • Provide students with an opportunity to support local health care initiatives in collaboration with Paraguayan nursing colleagues and other medical professionals
