Program Overview

Global Equity in Leadership is a 3-credit elective offered during the spring term 2023 that includes a 5 night/6-day Intensive Course Abroad portion to London, England from March 29-April 3, and participation in the Student Global Leadership Conference hosted by the Foundation for International Education (FIE).

  • The course will include a study of leadership theory and practice, and team roles and dynamics, viewed from a global perspective, with reflection and goal setting individually using styles, examples, and experiences.
  • The itinerary will include participation in the Student Global Leadership Conference, hosted by the Foundation for International Education in London, England in April 2023, as well as collaborative work with faculty and students from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and Strathclyde University.
  • Assignments and projects will use research, dialogue, guests, interviews, film, cases, and development tools.
  • Some time is designated for related cultural activities, such as a tour of London
  • It is an opportunity to attend a leadership conference allowing insight and conversation into global issues facing organizations and people today; students will develop relationships with other international institution participants in attendance.
  • This is great career and personal development; the group is going to learn a lot, share ideas, have fun, and create memories too!

Program Fee - $1,100 for 2023

Due November 15th, 2022 - $500 Advance Payment
Due January 15th, 2023 - $600 Final Payment
*All payments are non-refundable unless declined admission or program cancels for unforeseen reasons.

The program fee includes on ground expenses – transport, tours and programs, lodging, daily breakfast and several other meals.

Included in Program Fee:

  • Double or triple occupancy hotel accommodations in Earl’s Court area of London
  • FIE conference registration fee
  • Breakfast and wifi
  • Other meals per day, including a Welcome Dinner and group lunchICA London Global Conference
  • Pre-paid Oyster Card for the London Underground
  • A cultural tour (tentatively a City Tour)
  • Pre-paid Oyster Card for the London Underground
  • Emergency evacuation insurance

More Information

  • Visa: US citizens are not required to obtain a visa for entry to the UK. Other nationalities must confirm on the UK Embassy website whether a visa is required for entry.
