Stepping off the plane, I could not believe that I was finally here. After a long wait, an anxious countdown, and endless talks about how excited I was to get here... here I was, in Costa Rica. I was welcomed at the airport with signs everywhere reading "Welcome to the happiest country in the world!", "LA PURA VIDA!" My stomach and mind were doing cartwheels of excitement. Here I was, in Costa Rica, with two of my best friends. (Two of my best friends also applied to study abroad here and were accepted as well!)

My mind was wandering like it had never wandered before. "What will these next 4 months consist of?", "What new opportunities await me?", "Will I come back a changed person?" These answers are to be left unanswered for now.

I am so excited to see what to comes of what is sure to be the biggest adventure of my life. I'm ready to keep my mind open, my heart open, and my Spanish flowing. I have no idea what awaits me, but I couldn't be more excited to find out!
